Ministry to expand transit centre programme for domestic violence victims

The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry is collaborating with several states’ menteri besar to make mosques as transit centres for domestic violence victims. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, November 25, 2021.

THE Women, Family and Community Development Ministry will expand the programme which makes mosques as transit centres for victims of domestic violence. Women, Family and Community Development Minister Rina Mohd Harun said the programme, now covering only the federal capital, would be expanded to Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis and Sarawak.
