Women, Family and Community Development Ministry to expand transit centres for victims of domestic violence, says minister

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 —The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry will expand the programme which makes mosques as transit centres for victims of domestic violence.

“The programme’s pilot project has been introduced at Masjid Ghufran, Taman Tun Dr Ismail and the Federal Territory Mosque, Kuala Lumpur. Rina said, through the programme, mosque committee members would be given social psychology guidance to ensure that they would be able to handle cases of domestic violence.
