He said that, as the Papar member of parliament, he would give full support if the state government decides to build a new dam in the district. Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof, who is also the Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor and Kawang assemblyman Ghulam Haidarkhan Bahadar.
He said it is important for the state government to assure residents, especially regarding their safety, well-being and socioeconomic aspects, and to create cooperatives so that the residents can enjoy the economic spillover from the construction of the dam.
