NSTnation The Salvation Army has extended a helping hand in distributing food rations to the disadvantaged during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

With a presence in the Klang Valley, Melaka, Penang, Ipoh, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, The Salvation Army is actively delivering food parcels, cooked meals and other essentials to families who have been financially impacted by the global pandemic.

Echoing him, Melaka Team Leader, Envoy Roger, said the Covid-19 pandemic has brought people’s lives to a halt.“Population groups such as the poor, older people, people with disabilities, the homeless and other vulnerable communities are disproportionately harmed by this pandemic because most of them are daily wage earners, most of whom have lost their jobs.

“But in all this, we are very grateful to our fellow Malaysians that have generously donated to help others”, he said. A recipient of The Salvation Army’s food parcel, Poniyah, said that they are thankful to The Salvation Army.
