PETALING JAYA: Several motorists were told to turn back for not having legitimate reasons to travel at the Sungai Buloh Toll Plaza on Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department director Comm Datuk Zamri Yahya, visited the roadblock at the toll plaza on Tursday said a few motorists were told to turn back.

"We came across a woman who said she was coming from Shah Alam and headed to Sungai Buloh to pass some food to her children," he told reporters on Thursday . He said the standard operating procedure was clear that no visits were permitted during Hari Raya and the motorist was told to turn back. Comm Zamri was accompanied by Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal and Petaling Jaya OCPD Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid as he visited the roadblock there to boost morale of policemen on duty during Hari Raya."The public must stay home and only go out when necessary to curb the spread of Covid-19.

"The police have already issued warnings many times, so those who are caught defying the movement control order will be issued compounds," he said.
