KOTA KINABALU: Many in Sabah are still trying to cross district borders even though they know it is prohibited until the zoning system is re-implemented on May 17, says Datuk Masidi ManjunThe minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in Sabah said that since the ban was enforced on May 10, a total of 642 drivers had been instructed to turn back.

"These people know that they cannot cross district borders but they try their luck anyway," he said in his daily Covid-19 briefing on Saturday ."This includes 10 who were fined for illegally crossing district borders, one who held a wedding reception, and three who were out without face masks," Masidi said.

He reminded the public to abide by rules and to refrain from holding Hari Raya gatherings or open houses. He said the authorities would continue making patrols and checks on public and private premises to ensure that SOPs are abided by at all times.
