Lisa, who is also one of the campaign’s celebrity Kindness Ambassadors, alongside other household names like Harith Iskander and Jinnyboy, said being part of the campaign has made her a more empathetic mother to Yahaira Leanne, 4, and Yusof Leonne, 2.
“My kids are growing up and there are a lot of things they do not fully understand as well, like big emotions such as jealousy, anger, fear,” she said, adding that her new method of using kindness has inspired her own children to make better decisions. “One day, my daughter snatched a toy from my son, making him cry. I had to sit down with her and say ‘Adik is crying, do you know why? Do you think there’s a different way for you to have gotten your toy back?’”
“She stood there for a while, then she said ‘maybe we can take turns’ which surprised and impressed me, I thought it was brilliant.”
