Kunyit baik untuk kesihatan, ini memang sudah terbukti oleh kajian saintifik yang dijalankan terhadapnya.

Setakat ini, tiada dapatan yang telah dikeluarkan secara rasmi dan menurut Nidom, persoalan wabak tersebut mungkin tidak akan terjawab memandangkan kajian beliau berlangsung sebelum wabak virus tersebut menular. Dapatan kajian tersebut menunjukkan kunyit boleh menghalang penghasilan sitokin IL-6 dan IL-10 yang menjadi kunci kepada proses keradangan.
