has unveiled the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 mobile workstation, a refresh of last year’s model. The new model comes with a new Ryzen PRO series chip and improved and an improved GPU.The new ThinkPad P14s offers two display options: a 14-inch FHD+ IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, featuring anti-glare and low blue light technologies, and a 14-inch 2.8K OLED screen with improved color accuracy, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 spectrum.
The laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series processors, offering up to 8 cores and a peak clock speed of 5.1GHz. For graphics, the laptop features an AMD Radeon 780M integrated graphics solution, which is based on the latest RDNA 3 architecture. The ThinkPad P14s can be configured with up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM and offers storage solutions of up to 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD. Its array of ports includes USB-C Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and an SD card reader.
For security, the workstation incorporates Lenovo’s ThinkShield features, such as dTPM 2.0, a touch fingerprint reader, and a webcam privacy shutter. It supports multiple operating systems including Windows 11 Pro and several Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.The Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 AMD, available in Eclipse Black, will be on sale starting at $1,379 this month.
