Kulai Municipal Council president Natazha Hariss pointed out that there was currently only one public hospital in the district for over 300,000 people in the area.“We definitely need more hospitals in the district not only to accommodate the growing population but also to be prepared to face any emergencies.
“We have the Senai International Airport, the double-track railway and major highways around the area and we are also close to the Second Link.“As such, we need to have enough medical facilities to be prepared for emergencies,” he said when met after the MPKu full board meeting.“We hope that developers or private hospitals will consider opening up a new medical facility here.
“There is definitely a market for healthcare in Kulai, Johor as we have many investors setting up their bases in the district. “They will most likely want to have a medical facility in the district to be the panel hospital for their workers,” he said.“There is an interested party that is considering setting up a medical facility in the Indahpura area.“We will leave it to the company and their partners to sort out the plan but on our part, we are prepared to assist and ease the process in any way that we can,” he said.
