The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) has recorded seizures worth RM558,956 for various offences through Ops Pantau 2024 nationwide since March 12 until yesterday. Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said it was the result of inspections on 38,126 premises involving Ramadan bazaars, Aidilfitri bazaars, public markets, wet markets, hypermarkets, supermarkets, grocery stores, and online sales. 'A total of 1,216 complaints were received from consumers during the same period involving various complaint categories. 'Among the offences that were taken action against were failure to display price tags, failure to use valid weighing scales, and selling counterfeit goods,' he said at a press conference after visiting the Enforcement Coordination Centre (ECC) of the KPDN Enforcement Division here today.

: Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup mencatatkan nilai rampasan berjumlah RM558,956 atas pelbagai kesalahan menerusi Ops Pantau 2024 di seluruh negara sejak 12 Mac hingga semalam.

“Antara kesalahan diambil tindakan ialah kegagalan meletakkan tanda harga, tidak menggunakan alat timbang yang sah dan menjual barang tiruan,” katanya pada sidang media selepas melawat Pusat Arahan Penguatkuasaan Bahagian Penguat Kuasa KPDN di sini hari ini. Beliau berkata proses penaiktarafan turut meliputi modul kawalan selia harga dan bekalan, harta intelek, pengurusan penguatkuasaan dan aplikasi mudah alih bagi kegunaan operasi pegawai penguat kuasa menerusi telefon bimbit, tablet, komputer riba serta pencetak.

“Aduan direkodkan secara masa nyata maka tiada istilah kompaun boleh dibatalkan oleh pegawai penguat kuasa KPDN yang berada di lapangan,” katanya.
