On DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng's criticism that Putrajaya was moving away from the"herd immunity" terminology, Khairy pointed to a news article which quoted Dr Anthony Fauci, the US medical adviser to the president.He had repeatedly said that"herd immunity" to Covid-19 was an"elusive concept" because there was no definitive percentage of the population that needed to be vaccinated to achieve it.

Dr. Fauci didn't say herd immunity is mystical or elusive, though he has been raising his herd-immunity estimate from 60-70% in the pandemic’s early days to 70-75% in March of 2021, to 75-80+% days later, and more recently to 70-90%, based on new science/data and his gut feeling.
To be precise, i would think 2 doses each of at least 2 different type of vaccines in 18 months.
