His Majesty King of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim has become the proud owner of the special edition “GOLD 1” plate registration number after a winning bid of RM1.5 million.
The post further shared that His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim granted an audience to Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook at the Istana Negara today, where the latter symbolically presented the number plate to the King of Malaysia.Announced via a press release by the Transport Ministry on 30 January, the GOLD special number plate series was launched in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Federal Territories, or its golden jubilee; hence “GOLD”.
At that time, the RM1.2 million amount was the highest-ever amount paid for a plate number registration, which the Yang di-Pertuan Agong broke with the winning bid for GOLD 1″
