KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here today awarded RM80,000 in damages to Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad in his defamation suit against the CEO of the Malaysian Islamic Strategic Research Institute .
Lawyer Faiz Fadzil, representing Khalid, said the judge also ordered Mahamad to issue his client a public apology in a newspaper and pay RM20,000 in costs.
