Katanya, ini sekali gus mampu memberi kesan kepada kira-kira 150,000 penduduk di kedua-dua negeri itu. “Sebanyak 30,000 pengguna air di Merbok, Tanjung Dawai, Singkir, Semeling dan Bedong, Kedah. Bagi Johor pula, kira-kira 120,000 pengguna dari tiga kawasan iaitu Kota Tinggi, Pontian dan Simpang Renggam akan berdepan nasib yang sama.
“Cuaca kering telah menjejaskan sumber air mentah ke loji rawatan air yang membekalkan air ke kawasan terjejas,” katanya ketika ditemui pemberita di lobi Parlimen hari ini. - UTUSAN ONLINE
