Malaysian Civil Defence Kedah Disaster Management Committee Secretariat head Mohd Muaz Mohd Yusof said the victims were housed at three flood relief centres in the Kubang Pasu and Kota Setar districts.
"The relief centre in Kota Setar, at SK Gunung, was opened at 10pm Tuesday, housing 39 victims from 14 families,” he said in a statement Wednesday. Muaz said in Kubang Pasu, 22 victims from four families were taking shelter at the Dewan Kampung Lahar while 31 people from seven families were at the Dewan Kampung Tradisi Lembah Keriang.
He said the flood victims in the Kubang Pasu district were from Kampung Lahar, Kampung Paya Tok Keong and Kampung Nang Mah. - Bernama
