M. Pavayee Ammah, 83, who lives alone, said she was awakened by loud noises, including her neighbours screaming, at around 9.30pm on Wednesday night.
“A few seconds later, one of the elephants walked past me beside the house and crashed through the back gate towards the oil palm plantation," she said when met here on Thursday . Pavayee Ammah’s brother M. Alangovan, 67, said that he was worried for his sister and her neighbours' safety after this incident.
