Johor authorities are moving in to shut down 18 illegal factories in Pasir Gudang starting this week.quoted Johor Department of Environment director Wan Abdul Latiff Wan Jaafar as saying this after authorities inspected about 250 factories.“So far, we have inspected and closed three factories.

The DoE had also inspected more than 255 factories and issued 125 compounds for numerous offences related to the disposal of scheduled wastes, industrial effluents and sewage, he said.
