Illegal cigarettes worth more than a quarter million ringgit were seized by the police during a raid on Tuesday .
Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director Comm Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said that police had crippled a crime syndicate after the raid in Jinjang. "Two local men were arrested, aged 38 and 59. A total of 1,734 cartons of illegal cigarettes were seized," he said on Thursday . A car was also seized during the raid."The total of the goods seized, after tax, is estimated to be RM275,192," he said.
