PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested two men for their alleged involvement in a robbery at Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI).

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Ruslan Khalid said they received a report that two suspects had broken into a bungalow there at around 2.30am on Sunday .

"The suspects, armed with a knife, broke into the house while a married couple, the woman's elderly mother, and their six-year-old child were at home. "They demanded all jewellery and valuables be handed over and they then bound the victims. While they were tying the elderly woman up, they cut her finger," he said when contacted on Sunday."Following the report, a team from the TTDI police station raided two houses in Kampung Sungai Penchala around noon, and arrested two men aged between 25 and 30.

"They also seized four mobile phones, three watches and other documents believed to belong to their victims," he said, adding that police also seized a knife believed to have been used in the incident."We believe the suspects are linked to several robberies around the TTDI area. "The case has been classified as armed robbery under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code," he said, urging anyone with information on similar cases to contact the Brickfields police operations room at 03-22979222 or visit the nearest police station.
