HONOR X7b 5G Officially Unveiled; Likely To Launch In Malaysia Soon

HONOR has officially launched a 5G variant of the X7b , its entry-level device from last year. The X7b 5G was quietly listed on the company's website with mostly similar specs except for a chipset upgrade as well as the omission of an ultra-wide camera, a microSD card slot, and NFC support.

The X7b 5G sports a 6.8-inch 1080p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 850 nits. It swaps out the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 for the more powerful Mediatek Dimensity 6020 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.On the imaging side, the back of the budget smartphone carries a 108MP main sensor alongside a 2MP macro lens while the front houses an 8MP selfie shooter. Powering it is a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 35W charging.

The X7b 5G comes in three colours options, namely black, silver, and green. Both the price and availability of the affordable phone is still unknown, but it has already been listed on the SIRIM database, so we can expect it to be launched here eventually. For reference, the 4G variant retails RM799, so it is likely that the 5G version will be closer to the RM1K mark.
