Minister Hamzah Zainudin, in a federal gazette, said the ban was made based on the Printing Presses and Publications Order 2020. Previously, police had received 32 reports about the case, and investigations were carried out under Section 5 of the The Emblems And Names Act 2016, The Sedition Act 1948, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act and Section 8 of the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984.
