“Menuju Gereja Sinodal: Persekutuan, Partisipasi, dan Misi”. Ini merupakan tema Sinode Para Uskup 2023 di Roma, menjadi tema perayaan Hari Paroki St Martin.Turut diraikan dalam perayaan ini ialah Ulang Tahun Keuskupan Sandakan Ke-15 dan Pentahbisan Episkopal Uskup Julius Dusin Gitom yang ke-15.
Sebelum Hari Paroki, para paderi dan umat terlebih dahulu menjalani Novena selama sembilan hari bermula Nov 4 hingga 12 lalu. Pada hari perayaan, Bapa Uskup dalam homilinya memperkatakan tentang Roh Pengetahuan dan Pengertian yang merupakan anugerah iman kepada umat, khususnya kepada para krismawan. Fr Christopher Ireneus, Paderi Paroki St Martin Telupid, dalam ucapannya menyeru semua umat untuk mencabar diri, keluar dari zon selesa dan berjalan bersama dalam iman dengan penuh persekutuan, partisipasi dan misi.
