: Ketua Menteri Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor mahu Jabatan Perhutanan Sabah meningkatkan kutipan hasil hutan untuk mencapai sasaran RM165 juta yang ditetapkan pada tahun ini.
Menurut beliau, setakat Mac lepas, JPS berjaya mengutip sekitar RM39.7 juta atau 24 peratus daripada sasaran yang ditetapkan dan jika momentum ini berterusan JPS mampu mencapai kutipan hasil melebihi sasaran. Selain itu, beliau berkata hasil kutipan boleh dipertingkatkan menerusi perdagangan karbon melalui pelaksanaan Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation Plus , bekalan tenaga hijau dan pengkomersialan hasil penyelidikan.
Hajiji berkata bagi memperkasakan tatakelola pengurusan hutan, JPS menyasarkan semua kawasan hutan diberikan sijil di bawah mana-mana skim pensijilan yang diterima di peringkat antarabangsa menjelang 2025 dan seluas 280,616 hektar kawasan pengurusan hutan menerima sijil setakat ini.
