PETALING JAYA: Providing affordable housing and village expansion schemes are among the pledges by Gabungan Parti Sarawak in its manifesto for the Jepak state by-election.Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu deputy president Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who is also the coalition election director for the Jepak by-election, launched the manifesto, Bernama reported.
He said the manifesto also includes infrastructure and socioeconomic development projects for the people.Other offers include providing entrepreneurship training for small and medium-sized enterprises, traders and hawkers.“This is not like the empty talk by opposition candidates.The Jepak state by-election will witness a three-way clash, with GPS candidate Iskandar Turkee facing Stevenson Joseph Sumbang from Parti Bumi Kenyalang and Chieng Lea Phing of Parti Aspirasi Rakyat Sarawak.
The Nov 4 by-election is being called following the death of the incumbent, Talib Zulpilip, on Sept 15.
