KUALA LUMPUR: The government has given a guarantee that it will protect and assist small and medium-sized enterprises and the people if there is an economic impact from the rise in Covid-19 cases in China, says Rafizi RamliThe Economy Minister said with China being the second largest economy in the world, the hike in Covid-19 cases there must be monitored as what happens in that country will have an effect on a trading partner like Malaysia.

Rafizi, who is Pandan MP, told reporters this after attending the Pandan parliamentary constituency ‘Kenduri Rakyat’ and the Back to School contribution programme here on Saturday . When asked if Parti Keadilan Rakyat had received an invitation to the Umno general assembly next month, Rafizi, who is also PKR deputy president, said the matter should be referred to the party secretary-general as all correspondence goes to him.

PAS urges govt to temporarily bar China arrivals amid Covid-19 surgeParty info chief says govt should monitor the situation first. Government knows what to do!! The problem with this (actually no problem for those who 'collect' from the government sitting at home) the problem for others is putting food on the table for their children..taking care of the elderly...etc etc. and it is not just Chinese Nationals affected by the restrictions This makes sense..more so than temperature tests for other tourists coming from countries where covid is under control (NOT LIKE CHINA). Temperature tests are perceived as a quick $$$ for quarantine hotels. Western (vaccinated tourists) will go elsewhere to spend $ we need here.
