KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Communications and Multimedia Ministry is working to ensure more B40 low-income households receive free digital television decoder sets.

Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the ministry is still in discussions with the decoder distributing company as well as gathering information to determine eligible individuals.

"However, we are committed to solving it, we are trying to make sure that the group would receive the benefit after the transition from analogue to the digital system, ” he said. Local television broadcasting service including TV1, TV2 and TV3 will move from analogue to digital technology gradually. Regarding sales of unlicensed decoders, Gobind assured that his ministry would continue monitoring the situation.
