The 32-year-old dentist said veteran politician Melanie Chia, who is contesting as an independent in the urban seat, actually praised her for participating in the Sabah elections.
"So what I got from her was purely encouragement, it is a friendly competition," she told reporters after unveiling her election manifesto on Saturday . Apart from Chia, who was formerly SAPP deputy president, Dr Chang will also face incumbent Tan Lee Fatt , Jeff Lu Siau Wee , Daniel Isaac Hoong , Chong Chee Vui and Sim Fui in the seven-cornered fight.
