Portal Detik News melaporkan, di bandar itu pemakaian pelitup muka diwajibkan kepada penduduk, termasuk ketika bersendirian dalam kenderaan.

Akibatnya, wanita itu dan pesalah lain didenda turun ke Sungai Pepe kawasan Kestalan, Banjarsari, Solo untuk membersihkan sungai itu yang airnya berwarna hitam.Ketika terjun ke sungai, wanita itu kemudian naik semula ke atas dan enggan membersihkan sungai itu.Bagaimanapun, pegawai bertugas menjelaskan kepadanya hukuman bagi pesalah hanya satu iaitu membersihkan sungai dan dilakukan untuk memberikan pengajaran.

Ketua Polis Perbandaran Solo, Arif Darmawan berkata, hukuman itu berdasarkan Instruksi Presiden No 6 Tahun 2020 dalam Peraturan Walikota No 24 Tahun 2020."Jadi tidak peduli naik motosikal, kereta, jalan kaki, atau apa saja," kata Arif ketika dihubungi detikcom.
