MIRI: Wildfires in forests measuring 42 acres (the size of about 42 football fields) are still raging in the Miri district.

Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said firefighters are still battling the flames."The estimated size of the fire now is about 42 acres," he said in the latest Bomba Miri updates to the press here.

Over the past few days, the Miri Fire and Rescue Department has been deal with numerous cases of wildfires in and around Miri.
