Bantuan itu disalurkan sejak April lalu adalah untuk merancakkan kembali industri kraf negara dengan setiap usahawan menerima RM1,500 seorang.

TELUK INTAN: Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya melalui Kraftangan Malaysia menyalurkan bantuan kepada 6,000 usahawan kraf di seluruh negara yang terjejas akibat Covid-19 melalui Pakej Perlindungan Rakyat dan Pemulihan Ekonomi atau Pemulih.

Majlis perasmian disempurnakan oleh Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha kementerian, Mohd. Yusri Mohd. Yusoff yang mewakili Ketua Setiausaha kementerian, Datuk Saraya Arbi. Beliau berkata, produk seramik daripada tanah liat yang sinonim dengan negeri ini diinovasikan penggunaan bahan tanah liat sebagai alternatif kepada bahan lilin untuk menghalang warna dalam proses membatik.

“Batik tanah liat ini adalah produk identiti negeri Perak dan ia sesuatu yang baharu, biasanya orang tahu batik dari Pantai Timur, jadi kita mahu mengembangkan batik ini. “Sebelum ini lilin digunakan sebagai penghalang warna tapi di negeri ini kita menggunakan tanah liat sebagai penghalang warna, inovasi ini juga lebih mesra alam,” katanya.
