: The MySikap contract was awarded to HeiTech Padu Bhd through an open tender process, and is completely unrelated to recent changes in the company’s shareholding structure, said Communications Minister Fahmi FadzilFahmi, who is also the Unity government spokesman , said that the Ministry of Transport’s Tender Board approved the contract to the company on Nov 24, 2023, before being endorsed by the Ministry of Finance on Feb 2 this year.
He said this in response to questions from some quarters suggesting that the tender was awarded to the company because the largest shareholder of HeiTech Padu is Datuk Farhash Wafa Salvador, former political secretary to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Fahmi said Anwar and Transport Minister Anthony Loke had also provided detailed explanations on the matter to the Cabinet today.
HeiTech Padu, in a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, informed that the company had received a letter of appointment from the Road Transport Department involving a tender worth RM190.01 million.
