PUTRAJAYA: Kementerian Kesihatan mengesan empat lagi kes tempatan Covid-19 yang dijangkiti varian South African B.1.351 sekali gus menjadikan bilangan pesakit varian tersebut meningkat kepada 21 kes.
Katanya, penemuan empat yang terbaharu itu adalah melalui survelan genomik yang dijalankan Institut Penyelidikan Perubatan bagi mengenal pasti dan mengesahkan kewujudan varian terbabit dari 15 April sehingga semalam. “Selain itu, melalui survelan genomik terkini bagi tempoh yang sama , sebanyak 29 kes Covid-19 telah menjalani jujukan genom penuh merangkumi Johor, Selangor, Putrajaya, Sabah, dan Sarawak.
