"During our half-hour discussion, we spoke about several issues that cut across the land, sea and air transportation sectors that will bring benefit to the citizens of both Malaysia and Singapore," said Dr Wee in a statement posted on his official Facebook page.
He added that the two leaders also shared the efforts taken by both countries to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, including the vaccination programme as well as efforts to revive and stimulate the economy. "We will also continue such discussions using various available channels although the borders have been closed now due to the Covid-19 pandemic," said Dr Wee.
"The diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Singapore will continue to be strengthened for our mutual growth and prosperity," he added.
