Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari said PH-BN failed to obtain a two-thirds majority in the state assembly because of a low voter turnout.
Amirudin, who is also the Selangor menteri besar, said Selangor voters did not come out in numbers in the Aug 12 state election as they were confident that PH-Barisan Nasional could retain the state, Berita Harian reported. “I know many think that PH-BN has a huge chance of winning Pulai, but I also hope we don’t get too comfortable. Such an attitude will lead to what happened in Selangor,” he said at a ceramah in Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru, last night.
