Selain ahli keluarga, jiran dan orang kampung juga berada di rumah ketika jenazah disyaki positif Covid-19 dibawa balik dan dimandikan sebelum dikebumikan.Sejak kes pertama berlaku di Wuhan, China setiap kali jika ada pesakit meninggal dunia akibat Covid-19, urusan pengurusan mayat akan dilakukan oleh pihak hospital bagi memastikan tiada kesilapan dalam proses itu hingga boleh menyebabkan penularan wabak tersebut kepada orang lain.
Apa yang mengejutkan ahli keluarga mangsa telah membawa pulang jenazah dengan menggunakan kereta sendiri dan membuka plastik yang membaluti jenazah serta ada yang memeluk dan mencium jenazah.Tindakan ahli keluarga membuka plastik yang telah di antisipatif kini membuatkan orang sekeliling terutama sekali yang memeluk dan mencium jenazah dalam keadaan bahaya kerana berkemungkinan terdedah dengan wabak tersebut.
Menurut Pengarah Hospital Bahteramas, Dr Sjarif Subijakto pengurusan jenazah telah dilakukan mengikut SOP sebelum pihak keluarga datang menuntut jenazah.
