Erected on April 2, the Balik Pulau market’s mobile disinfection chamber was Penang’s first, and was installed with the aim of providing a free, full-body sanitisation service to members of the public who make their way from their homes to the market and back.
“Let us focus on the most fundamental things – social distancing and frequent washing of hands. Putting up disinfection chambers is not a priority," he added.
