MELAKA: Melaka Chief Minister has thanked the locals for doing their part in turning the state into a Covid-19 green zone.

Datuk Sulaiman Md Ali said the state would not have achieved such status without the cooperation from Melakans."We would have never flatten the Covid-19 curve without cooperation from them," he said on Friday .

Earlier, Sulaiman said the final Covid-19 positive case in Melaka involved a detainee at Bandar Hilir police station on June 23. He said the first case relating to the pandemic was registered on March 12 while 256 positive cases were reported.He added that Melaka had recorded five fatalities from Covid-19 while 251 or 98% had recovered.
