Penang PH deputy chairman and PKR chief Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik says other states such as Selangor and Negeri Sembilan have begun purging political appointees from PPBM.
He said this followed a political realignment at the federal level, which has seen Selangor and Negeri Sembilan purging political appointees from PPBM. Bakthiar, who is also the Penang PKR chief, said last weekend’s meeting with state PH party chiefs also decided not to dissolve the state assembly in case a general election was called any time soon.
He said Amanah would contest the Penaga and Permatang Berangan state seats, on top of the sole state seat it won in Permatang Pasir in 2018.
