PUTRAJAYA: Another 69 people in Malaysia have succumbed to Covid-19, taking the death toll to 4,477.

In his daily Covid-19 statement on Monday , Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 24 of the 69 deaths were recorded in Selangor.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 11 deaths, Negri Sembilan , Johor , Kelantan , Labuan , Kedah , Terengganu , Sabah , Sarawak and Melaka .The youngest casualty was a 28-year-old woman who also suffered from obesity at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar in Seremban,.At present, there are 880 patients in intensive care units nationwide, with 452 on ventilator support.This brings the number of active cases in the country down to 62,918.
