There are 4,611 new COVID-19 cases today, which is the lowest reported since 18th May. Total cases in Malaysia have exceeded the 700,000 mark and there are currently 880 cases in ICU.

Malaysia has recorded 4,611 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 701,019. Today is the lowest reported new cases in a day since 18th May. There are 69 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 4,477.

The Ministry of Health has reported 5,439 new recoveries and a total of 633,624 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 90.39% while the mortality rate is now 0.64%. There are currently 62,918 active cases remaining that are receiving treatment. 880 cases are in ICU while 452 require respiratory support.

Out of the 4,611 new cases today, 21 are imported while 4,590 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 1,346 cases, followed by Sarawak with 682 cases, Perak with 453 cases and Negeri Sembilan with 437.
