KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): A total of 36 new Covid-19 clusters were recorded Monday (Aug 9) with 19 of them linked to workplaces, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The Health director-general said 13 clusters were community clusters, two detention centre clusters and one cluster each linked to high-risk and religious groups.

He said Kelantan recorded the most community clusters at eight clusters, Pahang , and one each in Selangor and Johor. He said the total number of active cases stood at 227,230 cases Monday, while 1,095 patients required treatment in intensive care units with 579 patients needing respiratory assistance.
