BUTTERWORTH: Twenty-one individuals, including three women, were fined RM1,000 each for violating the recovery movement control order (MCO).

North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the individuals were fined during Ops Covid-19 which was aimed at ensuring compliance with the recovery MCO in the district.

"They were fined at several premises in the district, such as at restaurants, supermarkets, spare parts shops and an entertainment centre," he said in a statement on Friday .
