Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said four men, aged between 29 and 34, were detained in the first series of raids in Taman Connaught on Jan 25.In the second operation, a 30-year-old man was arrested following raids at Jalan San Peng on Jan 26, he said.The total drugs seized from the two operations were worth RM206,000, Comm Azmi said.
"We also seized RM15,000 worth of jewellery, RM870 cash and a Toyota Camry belonging to the syndicates," he said."We believe the drugs were for the Kuala Lumpur market.The suspects detained have been remanded until Feb 1, he added."We hope those in Kuala Lumpur, especially at the People's Housing Projects and public housing, can provide the police with relevant information on drug-related offences.
