Cops: Alcoholic beverages not essential item, Brickfields outlet that sold only liquor ordered to close

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said police received information, which had gone viral on social media, that a premises was selling alcoholic beverages and it obtained approval from the International Trade and Industry Ministry to sell food and beverages.

"Inspections revealed that the premises only sold alcoholic beverages, which is not an essential item."The management of the business complied and proceeded to close the premises," he said when contacted on Friday ."We view the violation of Covid-19 SOP seriously. "We urge those with information on SOP violations to contact Brickfields police at 03-22979222 or any nearest police station.

For you of course not essential la.. For people who have alcohol everyday it's essential !! Cigarettes got zero nutritional value why can we buy it?

Yes stop ALL outlets, bars, pubs etc that sell liquor. But you should not stop factories that manufacturers it. As they do exports too. Furthermore, most of these plants are highly automated and have less workers than a glove factory

Same goes with cigarretes, and vape ya
