Badminton Association of Malaysia coaching director Wong Choong Hann has given the thumbs-up to the move that is expected to take place next year as it will facilitate his plan to identify the best players for the project.
“We’ll be on the lookout for talented juniors to be absorbed into the project squad,” said Choong Hann. On Thursday, BAM president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria said the juniors would be moved to the ABM next year so that all their players, including the elite and back-up, would be staying and training under one roof.“The players will have more time to rest and focus on training.Once the move is complete, Choong Hann said the focus would be on fast forwarding the progress of the juniors based on merit and abilities, instead of their age.Stay tuned for a new offer coming to you soon.
