BEIJING: China's top legislature will revise the Anti-Money Laundering Law, the Law on the People's Bank of China, the Law on Commercial Banks, and the Insurance Law this year, it said in an annual work report on Monday (May 25).

The work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress was submitted to the third session of the 13th NPC for deliberation on Monday. Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, delivered the report.These efforts will accelerate the creation of a system of laws for extraterritorial application, according to the report. Meanwhile, China's top legislature said on Monday that it will prioritise legislation on public health this year in an annual work report. The report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress was delivered by the committee's chairman Li Zhanshu to the third session of the 13th NPC for deliberation.

The NPC Standing Committee plans to revise the Wildlife Protection Law, the Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law, and the Emergency Response Law, according to the report. - Xinhua/Asian News Network
