Kota Kinabalu: China Railway 14th Bureau is keen on investing in Sabah’s development projects.

Its Group Overseas Company Business Director Gong Fanghua conveyed this to officials from the BIMP-EAGA Business Council Sabah in Jinan China, recently.The meeting was aimed to explore potential cooperation and investment opportunities in Sabah .

The study will encompass various aspects such as forecasting passenger and freight volumes, route alignment, technical standards, construction scale, investment costs, economic evaluations, and environmental impact assessments.It was also highlighted in the meeting the importance of involving local professionals in the planning phase of the project.

In addition to the Trans Borneo Railway project, China Railway 14th Bureau Group Corporation Limited is also considering investments in renewable energy projects and the establishment of a recycling centre for scheduled waste, focusing on refurbishing battery components in Sabah.
