Ahmad Nizar Zolfakar had tendered his resignation last month, says board member. FMTNews CAAM

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia says the resignation of its CEO is not linked to its recent downgrade by the US Federal Aviation Authority.

“Nizar tendered his resignation even before the decision was made ,” CAAM board member Ragunath Kesavan told reporters here.Asked the reason for his resignation, Ragunath only said that they “respected his wishes”.
