Ketua Penerangan UMNO, Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah berkata, Kit Siang tidak sepatutnya mengeluarkan sebarang komen terhadap hukuman berkenaan yang telah diputuskan mahkamah mengikut undang-undang dan boleh memudaratkan perpaduan.
Beliau menegaskan, kenyataan Kit Siang jelas memperlihatkan watak sebenar beliau dan DAP yang kelihatan memandang ringan penyebaran bahan berunsur penghinaan terhadap Islam. “Apakah kerana DAP sangat liberal? Jika benar, kita nak bertanya,apakah pendirian anak muda Melayu beragama Islam yang menjadi ahli DAP? Adakah mereka ini digunakan DAP sebagai alat propaganda?
“Kit Siang wajar menggunakan hukuman itu sebagai satu pengajaran bagi mendidik rakyat khasnya pengikut DAP dan ‘Red Bean Army’ supaya tidak memburukkan Islam, Allah, menghina Nabi Muhammad SAW,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan di sini hari ini.- UTUSAN ONLINE
